An interesting experience...

my first submission of the year... Emerging Artist award 2021 at Creates Gallery Monmouth. How different the process can be, from writing statements, biographies, and work descriptions to simply uploading images. Trying to support all connections to the art world, like in every other situation is challenging and on this occasion despite only a 30 minute drive away, because of lockdown it meant researching 'shipping' too. I am in awe of those who master all the ins and outs of this heightened on-line world we are currently experiencing.

Oh to be Dug, my studio companion, not a care in the world and a nice fur coat keeping him warm, my studio faces on to the easterly freezing winds...!!

So much joy and gratitude though in having the opportunity to carry on creatively whilst in lockdown.
